Survey Results

In October, 2009, a street team of Newark residents surveyed other Newark residents face-to-face throughout Newark’s 20 neighborhoods. The survey, with many open-ended questions, was designed to gather residents’ own words about their experiences and priorities, conducted person-to-person by other Newark residents. The questions included:

Community-Police Relations

For 7 straight days in March 2010, a street team of Newark residents surveyed other residents as part of another face-to-face survey, this time about Community-Police Relations. We have completed a first round of surveys on behalf of the Newark Police Department, focused on getting in depth, open ended responses from over 500 Newark residents from throughout the City. The first round results are here. Would you please help us to disseminate the second round survey to your networks of Newark community members? Our goal is to get at least 2,000 responses to this survey, which asks for input on the biggest concerns that the first round highlighted.
